ENTREPRENEURS FROM VICENZA AND BELGRADE IN BELGRADE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Belgrade Chamber of Commerce hosted the representatives of the Association of Constructors, the Association of Handicraftsmen from Vicenza province and API Association of Constructors (SME), which gather more than 20.000 members. Meeting was also attended by Belgrade businesspersons, members of Chamber's Association of Construction Industry and Public Utilities.

FIRST SUMMIT OF SERBIAN ENTREPRENEURS

The cabinet of the Vice-president of the government of Serbia, in cooperation with the Agency for the development of SME and entrepreneurship, Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, SIEPA and Development Fund organized in Center Sava, on April 16, 2008, the First Summit of Serbian Entrepreneurs.
Joint activities of both organizers and participants will help Serbia to develop its entrepreneurship potentials as much as possible.

„WOMEN IN BUSINESS & POLITICS“ – EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT, BRUSSELS

Successful women from all around the world gathered on working breakfast, held in European Parliament. The host of this prestigious event is SME Union, International Republican Institute – IRI. For the first time one successful woman from Serbia was presented to the auditorium. That was Ms. Milka Forcan, the vice-president of Delta Holding Company.

South East Europe Belgrade Building Expo

is the largest and most important specialized manifestation in South East Europe region. Since 1998, this manifestation is the member of UFI, Paris. Minister Dragan Djilas, in charge for implementation of National Investment Plan, opened the manifestation this year.

ROUNDTABLE – EUROPE MEANS EMPLOYMENT

The President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Boris Tadić, participated at the Roundtable "Europe means employment", together with Serbian businesspeople.
Mr. President said that Stabilization and Association Agreement is, above all, the document that regulates trade relations with EU, with which Serbia achieves almost 60% of foreign trade (23% more than last year).

SEMINAR: „POSSIBILITIES FOR THE APPEARANCE ON THE MARKETS OF EASTERN EUROPE AND AFRICA“

Belgrade Chamber of Commerce organized, in collaboration with Pragmata Institute from San Marino, the seminar "Possibilities for the appearance on the markets of Eastern Europe and Africa". The conclusion was that Serbia has to identify its possibilities and use the existing commercial relaxations with Russia. The advice of the lecturer is that SME, willing to reach the African market, should build the partnership with alike Libyan companies, since Libya is the "gate of Africa". 

SERBIA ON ITS WAY TO EUROPE

Roundtable, attended by numerous Belgrade businessmen, was led by M.Sc. Milan Janković, President of Belgrade Chamber of Commerce. Many participants presented their interventions, opinions and suggestion, such as: PhD Predrag Bubalo, Trade and Services Minister, professor PhD Dragan Đuričin, the President of the Serbian Association of Economists, Mr. Toplica Spasojević, the member of Managing Board of Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.
The participants emphasized the necessity of fulfilling the goals of National Development Strategy: GDP projected growth, the increase of Serbian commerce's competitiveness, equity of companies in relation with international partners, adequate environment for foreign investors, creation of competitive products, infrastructure, better relation between commerce representatives and political entities.

ITALY APPROVED 30 MILLION EUR LOAN TO SERBIA

March 5, 2008

Italy has approved a second 30 million euro loan to Serbia for the development of small enterprises and municipalities. An earlier loan of 32.5 million euros was approved by the Italian foreign ministry's overseas development cooperation department in 2005 and has been completely used up. Enterprises and municipalities could use the loan for purchase of equipment, technologies and machines from Italy, infrastructure development and local services improvement.
